EZ OC for EDC (Pepper Spray)

...Because it's unwise to bring a gun to a Fistfight

In responding to a threat, ordinary citizens like you and me are not allowed to exceed the level of force brought against us.  There are important nuances, but essentially this means that if someone comes at us without a weapon, we are not allowed to produce a gun.

Pepper spray (aka, oleoresin capsicum, or “OC”) on the other hand, is generally regarded as a “less-than-lethal” defensive tool.  This means that unless you have some skill in the martial arts, OC fills a critical vacancy in your self-defense plan.

But there is much more to effective use of this “weaponized food condiment” (as OC expert, Chuck Haggard, calls it) than simply buying the little canister at a truck stop and tossing it in the glove box.  (Hint: that right there is at least two no-nos.)  There are design considerations, technical aspects to deployment, dos and don’ts, good products and garbage products, alternative less-than-lethal tools, the always-attendant legal considerations, and more.

Plus, you will need to have some skill at reading people: body language, weight distribution over the feet, eye appearance and movement, breathing, and behavior of the hands can all tell us something about the person’s intent and the timeline of their plan.

Come learn about this.  All of it.  OC is SO EASY to incorporate into your life and significantly enhances both your physical and legal protection.  And if you have not warmed up to the idea of carrying a gun for protection, OC is a great intermediate option.
